Found Sound – Adam

The first found sound piece that I would like to share is by Stockhausen and it is called “Gesang der Jünglinge”. What I love about this piece is that it is a beautiful, “unnatural” blend of musique concrete and elektronische musik. The found sounds are recordings of children singing and talking.

I also enjoy Jean Barraque’s etude which is also a musique concrète piece although I find it darker and more disturbing than most pieces in the genre. The last minute or so is great.

I also thought I might include a musique concrète work of mine called Pfærnix. I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts if they get a chance to listen to it.
