It’s called “organic,” but it’s extremely artificial. This swiping gesture isn’t used in any physical musical instrument, and the used samples are absolutely synthetic. Despite all of that, this swiping gesture is still really natural. Swinging the rhythm with swiping patterns is a lot more natural than pushing buttons at exact instances (the majority of modern performance midi controllers are all just buttons). This is like an evolution of turntable scratching, or maybe even conducting.
Unfortunately I do not have an iPad so I never got to play around with this.
