Reduced Listening (Caroline)

It is a continuous but clippy sound that suggests downward motion. It is like static noise but more spread out and irregularly distributed. It is soft crackling with a slight twang. When closely listening it is easy to distinguish fast individuals smacks. At more of a distance the crackling becomes less discrete and it instead becomes a texture to the light high constantly fluctuating stream of sound. The sound is firmly lodged in space slightly in front of me and to the right. It is not reverberant like the distant music, movement, and speech also in my vicinity. It has two layers of segmentation; first the soft textual crackles from which the sound is almost entirely composed. Second there are slower waves of sound which creates continuous changes in the tempo of the sound.

I find it interesting because it is simultaneously boring and pleasant and therefore a nice ambient addition to the room.
