Performer Andre Borges reminds a listener that, among our noisy environments, the human body makes sound. Through controlled manipulation of breath, Borges is able to produce a variety of sounds with his heart, throat and intestines. These sounds are heard via stethoscopic microphones. The sounds are then amplified and projected into a room, in which Borges and an audience sit. The body sounds provide input to Arduino microcontrollers that move electromechanical musical instruments.
